Post release changelog


Hi all,

Thanks for playing Mecha Defence! We had a good time making this game and are happy to see so much positive feedback.

This marks the end of the development cycle for this game. I'll very likely make a YouTube video about the process and what worked/didn't work.

Changelog 1.1

  • Reworked all enemy damages and health
  • Reworked damage output of defences
  • buttons fixed (single click, not toggle)
  • Buttons now clearly show if you can buy the item or not
  • spawn rate changes. now it's 3 per second. increases to 4 per second at 1min. (was a static 4 per second)
  • Price increases as you purchase upgrades/defence
  • pricing reworked
  •  screen shake reduced
  • explosions drastically altered. Damage reduced slightly, and have a base trigger chance of 5%, upgrade to a max of 30%
  • added 2nd path! enemies switch between mid and right path. They are on  both for the last min of the game as a sort of exciting conclusions

After launching I took to a few discord servers for feedback. 1.2 represents player feedback.

  • Fixed UI mouse icons
  • Made it clearer that you have selected an upgrade
  • Text appears after purchasing an upgrade as it wasn't clear what 'Explosions ++' did. 
  • UI font and position changes.
  • Main menu background changed
  • added vignette
